My Experience
1981 - 1986
Mural projects for Maxion Design based in Sausalito. This company was specialized in developing and executing large scale murals for many major athletic clubs, which in the early 80's was a fast growing industry. He introduced his unique talents and painting styles to Maxion Design propelling the company to a new level of success. Working on the largest projects in a team with 2-3 other artists, Wolfgang was often chosen to be the foremen and resolve many unexpected problems related to the successful and fast execution of the job. He worked out-of-state as well.
1985-1993
Established Meta Art Studios with partner Kara Young in the East Bay. He continued creating and working as an independent artist and muralist. Meta Art Studios has built an impressive reputation over the following years and attracted some major clients like Intel, Pacific Bell, Kaiser Permanente, United Artists Theater. By 1991 Wolfgang had completed well over 500 mural projects.
1993-1999
Meta Art Studios moved to Marin County. Wolfgang has been involved in many projects including book cover design, promotional material, graphic arts, web sites, CD cover art, CD ROM interactive design & images, contemporary fine art and major murals projects.
Since 2000
Meta Art Studios has moved its studios and residence to enchanted New Mexico. Wolfgang and Kara are well established and are focused on new innovative creative projects and opportunities.
2004-2008
Meta Art Studios has opened new studios and a residence in Scottsdale. Wolfgang has many new mural art projects and creative opportunities in this fast growing metropolitan area. His clients are very satisfied.

2015-2024
Meta Art Studios Wolfgang Gersch is known for his unique style in digital art that has developed since 2015. His work is characterized by the integration of AI imaging technologies and research into current multimedia systems. Gersch uses these technological advances to expand his artistic vision and create new forms of expression that are gaining recognition in both the digital and traditional art worlds. His approach is experimental and innovative, often pushing the boundaries of what is possible with digital media. He always remains true to his artistic integrity and creates works that are both technically impressive and emotionally appealing.
My art is renowned and has gained international visibility and recognition. I specialize in a diverse range of artistic expressions, including sky panoramas, contemporary paintings, digital imaging, murals, surface effects, and faux finishes.
With an extensive exhibition history and the creation of over 900 murals in both the United States and Germany, I possess a vast repertoire of fine artwork. My impressive interiors, featuring expansive skies, captivating landscapes, and unique themes, adorn the walls of numerous prestigious institutions.
I have also curated a large portfolio of fine art and digital images, which have been published in various mediums such as magazines and utilized as covers for books, LPs, tape cassettes, music CDs, and CD-ROM disks. Furthermore, my artistic touch has enhanced the aesthetics and creative concepts of computer presentations, video animations, and interactive CDs through unique interface designs.
Participation in numerous multimedia events has been a significant aspect of my artistic journey. These events encompassed a combination of slides, videos, television appearances, computer art, and paintings. The originality of my multi-layered images, paintings, and surface effects has consistently provided clients with great satisfaction and one-of-a-kind artwork to incorporate into their projects.
Throughout my career, I have collaborated with interior designers, architects, contractors, professionals, businesses, and corporate clients, all of whom have benefitted from working with me on various ventures. By utilizing cutting-edge digital tools during the execution and presentation phases, I ensure enhanced flexibility and quicker visualization of concepts for effective communication with clients. This approach guarantees faster results, greater flexibility, improved communication, and consistently exceptional outcomes.
I cherish numerous memorable experiences that have colored my fascinating and adventurous life. Notably, some of my notable mural and art commissions include projects for Myron Corp., Bayer AG, Kaiser Permanente, U.C.S.F. Hospital Beck Vision Center, Intel Corp., Helwett Packard, Emery Bay United Artists Theater, 3Com Corp, Silicon Graphics, Synopsys, Vintage Federal Credit Union, Cal State Credit Union, Seattle Café, Dimmick Advertising, and World Gym Athletic Club. These collaborations have enriched my artistic journey and allowed me to leave a lasting impression on diverse environments.
